Customer Rating: Summary: Great for all ages Comment: Personally thought this was a great film, most young girls or teens can relate to
The graphics are probably the best yet out of the rest of the barbie movies
I also did not think that the movie was too mature for young audiences as a previous reviewer stated
The scene when Kevin commented on the girls hugging wasn't in any way, shape or form meant to be crude
Anyone should be able to see, that Kevin only tries to find ways to be get barbie to realize how much he loves her.
It saddens me, to see that someone could have such a negative outlook over such innocent emotions
I suppose it's because of reviews like that, why television cencors everything now days
Customer Rating: Summary: A 13 year old's point of view... Comment: I was about 11 or 12 when this came out. So I've already been exposed to similar things like Lizzie Mcguire (sp?) and Mean Girls. I think this was on that road, just notched down a few levels. I was fine with the movie, but I'm getting kind of tired of this:
A girl, has guy friend, guy friend likes girl, girl likes popular guy, mean girls try to ruin her life, girl is friendly and smart, girl wants to be popular and forgets about her real friends, she realized her mistake and learns her lesson.
I love Barbie, I always have. My friend and I secretly play when we go to each other's houses. Honestly, I think most of the girls at school still play with dolls. But I dont think its right for little kids. For example, when I used to watch Lizzie when I was about 7, my Dad thought it was a good lesson for kids. Yes, but I was too young. Lizzie would say how "embarrassing" her parents were. I used to get mad at this. If the thought of my parents being embarassed ever crossed my mind, I would feel so guilty I couldnt stand it. I think until kids get older, they dont understand the movies/shows. Its too far over their heads. And they think of Barbie their role model, and copy her. If they copy these phrases, they will think its ok, and say mean stuff. They will say they hate people, and they want to be popular. Why does it matter? If you want to be popular, go do some acting and become famous. There. Your popular. Everybody at my school is popular. Why? BECAUSE EVERYBODY KNOWS WHO YOU ARE. The pretty girls dont get much more attention than everybody else. Everybody knew me, and I was a goody 2 shoes smarty. And in High School, you dont have these problems. There are teen pregnancies and other things instead. This is more Middle School based.
I know my friend's little 4 year old sister has learned from her big sister stuff like "That's stupid." or "These toys are all mine and you cant have any." I notice when I go to family get togethers, when my cousins and I are talking, the younger cousins always repeat stuff we say. And not everything my cousins say is good.
All in all, the movie was good, but not for young kids.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Movie Comment: Honestly, I like ALL the Barbie movies. They are a little cheezy and have fun story lines that anyone can enjoy.
But this one is differnt. First of all, it has a GREAT soundtrack! I absolutely love the music. I'm 26 years old and would have the songs on my playlist and no one would ever know it was from a Barbie movie if they hadn't seen it.
This movie is geared toward older kids, but my younger kids love it as well. I also like the movie. Having to on occasion watch a movie 20 times in a row, having a movie you can enjoy can really help ease the pain of repetitive movies.
The story line is a lot better than some of the fantasy based ones. The dialog is fun and more mature.
All in all, great movie!
Customer Rating: Summary: This movie is so cute Comment: I have this movie and I really love it!It is about three girls Barbie,Courtney and Tia that are best friends. One day they go to the mall to find Barbie a outfit for her to go to the dance with her most wished date,Todd. And the salesman lady gives the three of them charm bracelets and Barbie's bracelet comes with a a magical diary. And that's how the whole stories starts it is so adorable!I could tell you the whole story but I think it's better for you to watch for yourself and find out.It is worth buying, trust me.
Customer Rating: Summary: not good! Comment: story line: not for young kids, and not even really good for older kids. she has to try to fit in with the cool kids. whatever. i hate that an animated kid movie took on the teenage ideals of teenage movies. (!!!!!)
animation: sucks. was expecting every other barbie movie animation. those look amazing, this was verrrrrry poor.
